Maya couldn't remember the last time she set foot into her office. Between the mission briefings and information gathering jobs she'd been sent on lately, it had become rather hard to keep track of time. Add to that the adjustment and fine tuning sessions that needed to be down to her suit, she was one busy agent. Sometimes it was wonder that she could still return home to Lauren standing on her own two feet.
Lots of people would cringe at the thought of filing paperwork so late at night, but working for agency that never slept, it was some much needed down time. Turning on the lamp at the edge of her desk, she through her jacket over the back of her chair, leaning over to boot her computer up before turning to open the blinds of her window.
"Beautiful night. Too bad I'll be spending most of it inside." She spoke, her words seemingly directed to the dark shadows of her office.
